Our College library has vast collection of Books, Journals, Periodicals, Dissertations and Back volumes. The college library services include lending, reference, reprographic and newspaper clippings to cater to the growing needs of student community. To the highlight, our college library is equipped with DELNET facility and thus provide unprecedented resources for supporting e – learning.

Library Rules and Regulations
- Readers should enter their names and addresses legibly in a register available in front of the counter.
- Users of the library should observe strict silence while on the library premises.
- All kinds of materials are not allowed inside the library. They must be left in the luggage area outside the library.
- No library equipment shall be moved, modified, or tampered with without any permission from the librarian.
- Marking of any kind underlining/highlighting/writing on the books is strictly forbidden. The borrower shall be responsible for their proper maintenance, and in the event of any damage or loss, the borrower shall be required either to replace the publication or to pay its replacement cost at the rates prescribed or should remit a fine.
- When a book is issued and returned, the borrower should sign in the relevant column of the respective issue and return it in the register.
- Books can be taken out of the library only on the borrowing barcode system. Books will be lent out on loan to members only, in exchange for one of his/her barcodes.
- Readers may not write upon, damage, or make any mark upon any book or periodical.
- Borrowed books can be renewed only two times of the date for a further period of loan.
- The students are not permitted to use others’s identities (cards). The loss of ID card should be immediately reported to the college library/office so that a duplicate ID card may be issued.
- While leaving the library, members are required to show their files, file covers, books, etc. to the library staff on duty at the check-point.
- After reading, leave books on the table or on the book trolley.
- Drinks and edibles are not allowed inside the library.
- Cell phones are not allowed inside the library.
- Reference materials should not be taken outside the library.
- Reprography facilities are available at the library for photocopying.
- The user should check the books thoroughly for missing pages, chapters, etc. while getting them issued. No complaint will be entertained later on.

19. The library does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property left on his premises.
20. The librarian can recall books and publications any time the need arises.

1. Research and Reference Services
- Librarian Assistance: Library staffs are available to help students with research strategies, finding resources, and using library databases.
- Reference Desk: A place where students can ask for help finding books, articles, or information on specific topics.
- Research Guides: These are curated resources and guide that point to key books, journals, databases, and other materials related to specific subjects or assignments.
2. Access to Books and Journals
- Physical Collections: College libraries provide access to textbooks, novels, research materials, and other academic resources.
- Electronic Collections: Most libraries have access to e-Books, e-Journals,e-Magazines and digital archives. Students can access these resources online through the library’s portal (DELNET, Press Reader).
3. Study Spaces (100 Seats)
- Quiet Study Areas: Libraries have designated quiet zones for individual study.
- Reading Rooms: These rooms allow students to collaborate on group development or study together.
- Computer Area: Libraries often have computer workstations with internet access, word processing software, and printing capabilities.
4. Access to Databases and Online Resources
- Academic Databases: Libraries have special collections or archives with primary source materials (Thesis – M.Ed., M.Phil., Ph.D), such as historical documents, Reference Books, Back Volumes , University Question Papers and Old dissertations.
- Digital Archives: Libraries provide access to a range of databases like DELNET and Press Reader, which allow students to search for scholarly articles, journals, magazines, Newspapers and research papers
5. Printing, Scanning, and Copying Services
- Printing: College libraries have printers where students can print documents.
- Scanning: Libraries have scanners for students to digitize materials, either to save or share electronically.
- Copying: Copy machines are typically available for students to make copies of books, articles, or papers.
6. Study Aids and Reserve Services
- Reserves: Faculty Member can place course materials (like textbooks or readings) on reserve, allowing students to borrow them for short periods of time.
7. Specialized Services
- University Question Bank: A university question bank is a collection of past exam questions and other assessment materials used by faculty and students. These question banks are valuable tools for both teaching and learning, offering students a way to prepare for exams and providing instructors with a repository of questions to draw from when designing assessments.
- Book Bank Scheme: Book Bank is a separate section in a library, where Text Books, Reference Books and other miscellaneous books can be reserved for some special categories of users. Main aim of setting up Book Bank is to encourage the meritorious students by providing informational and educational assistance from the institute itself. Book Bank provide the students with books throughout the semester without any cost.
- Rare Books: Libraries may have collections of rare books, first editions, personal papers of notable figures. These materials are often housed in temperature-controlled rooms and may require special permission for access.
- Local History and Cultural Heritage: Libraries maintain collections related to the local history, culture, and traditions of their communities, which might include photographs, maps, and oral histories.
- Archives: These could include governmental records, organizational papers, or collections documenting a particular subject or historical event. Researchers can access these archives for historical or genealogical studies.
- Open Access: Libraries ensure that students, faculty, and researchers have access to open access journals, repositories, and databases.
8. Library Events and Exhibits
- Book Fair: Book Fair is events or displays where books, often organized around a particular theme, genre, author, or publisher, are showcased to the public. Unlike full-fledged book fairs, which tend to involve large sales and a variety of activities, book exhibits are typically more focused on showcasing books and may include interactive elements, special exhibits, or featured collections.
- Exhibition: Decide on a theme for the exhibition. Libraries often host events, such as book talks, lectures, or author visits, in conjunction with exhibitions.
9. Study and Relaxation Areas
- Social Spaces: Libraries may have informal seating areas with comfortable chairs (Seating 100) for students to relax or have informal study sessions.
10. Library Membership and Access
- Alumni Access: Libraries offer alumni access to certain resources after graduation, though it may be more limited than what students have access to.
- Researcher Access: Research Scholars visit our library because of the availability of various thesis and reference books. They were utilizing it for their research purpose.
11. Library OPAC Services
- OPAC: A searchable database where students can find books, journals, and other materials available in the library.
- Digital Lending: Access to e-Books and e-Materials that can be checked out and downloaded remotely.
